Best Doctor Strange Decks In Marvel Snap (August 2023)

Doctor Strange is a beloved character in the Marvel Universe. In Marvel Snap, Doctor Strange's On Reveal ability will move a friendly card with the highest power to the same location where he is played. Doctor Strange is great at activating the abilities of certain Move cards in Marvel Snap. Alternatively, he can be a great option for moving powerful cards out of harm's way. Whether you are aiming to buff your Vulture or move your Red Skull away from an incoming Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange can do it all.

So, if you are ready to start using Doctor Strange in Marvel Snap, you've come to the right place! This article will cover the best Doctor Strange decks in Marvel Snap, including deck lists, strategies, and more!

Best Doctor Strange Decks In Marvel Snap

The best Doctor Strange decks in Marvel Snap are Move decks. Despite Doctor Strange having the potential to move certain cards out of harm's way, this rarely proves useful and requires a lot of predictive thought to pull off. Because of this, Doctor Strange's text should probably be changed to "move Vulture to this location" because he rarely does anything else. So, with that in mind, instead of covering several niche decks where Doctor Strange finds limited use, we'll be breaking down different Move archetypes where Doctor Strange plays a more prominent role.

Move Decks

Move decks currently have very limited support in Marvel Snap. Several data-mined Move cards are on their way, but at the time of writing this, players will be stuck playing Iron Fist into Vulture for the considerable future. This isn't inherently a bad thing, and Move decks can definitely perform well in the current meta. Move decks are very unpredictable and take a considerable amount of skill to pilot correctly, making them great for snatching eight cube wins.

The most standard move deck list will likely run the best Move cards in the game, such as the aforementioned Iron Fist, Vulture, and Doctor Strange, along with cards like Kraven and Heimdall.

Move decks typically consist of cards like Kraven, Vulture, and Human Torch. (Picture: Nuverse)

Alternatively, some deck lists choose to run different cards, opting for Human Torch, Dagger, and Miles Morales. There are also certain instances where running atypical Move cards, such as Captain Marvel, can be beneficial.

Depending on your play style, you can choose only to move your own cards or your opponent's cards. In such cases, Aero, Polaris, and Juggernaut can definitely be great inclusions and excel at activating the abilities of Kraven and Miles Morales.

Additionally, playing Kang in a dedicated Move deck is somewhat of a necessity. As mentioned, Move decks need a lot of time to calculate how Heimdall will affect the state of play. Because of this, Kang is used less as a scouting tool to spy on your opponent's final turn but is instead used to allow you double the time to work out how Heimdall works!
