What Are Card Pools In Marvel Snap?

Here is everything you need to know about Card Pools in Marvel Snap.
What Are Card Pools In Marvel Snap?

Marvel Snap has one of the most unique progression systems of any card game. Unlike traditional TCGs that allow players to spend money to buy as many packs as they want, Marvel Snap cards are locked behind your Collection Level. By upgrading your existing cards, you can increase your Collection Level. As your Collection Level increases, so do the number of cards you have access to. However, the cards you receive for upgrading your cards are all randomized on each new account.

So, you may be wondering what stops a new player from luck-sacking and getting the best cards right away. This is done by the Card Pools mechanic of Marvel Snap. This article will explain everything you need to know about the Card Pools mechanic in Marvel Snap so you can start theory-crafting potential decks as quickly as possible.

What Are Card Pools In Marvel Snap?

As mentioned, cards are unlocked in Marvel Snap by increasing your Collection Level. However, to keep things fair, pools of cards are only made available at certain Collection Level thresholds. This way, you will only be matched up against players in the same Collection Level as yourself and can avoid being pitted against someone with a super-powerful deck. The cards you unlock in each Card Pool are randomized, so there is still a ton of variety in each duel, as players will have to mix and match the cards they have at their disposal when deckbuilding.

Here is a breakdown of the Card Pools In Marvel Snap:

Marvel Snap Pools Required Collection Levels Number of Cards
Card Pool 1 Collection Level 18-24 46 Cards
Card Pool 2 Collection Level 222-474 25 Cards
Card Pool 3 Collection Level 486+ 92 Cards
Card Pool 4 Collection Level 486+ - Rare 12 Cards
Card Pool 5 Collection Level 486+ - Ultra Rare 8 Cards

Players are unable to move up to the next tier of Card Pool until they have collected all the cards in their current Card Pool. This is a unique way of balancing Marvel Snap and also ensures that all players can get every card eventually without having to spend any money.

Once you reach a new tier of Card Pool, you could get lucky and get one of the best cards right away. However, you are just as likely not to get the best card in the Pool until you have only one unlock remaining. Make use of all the cards you have at your disposal to create some truly unique and strong decks!

And that's everything you need to know about Card Pools in Marvel Snap!
