Does GTA Online Have Crossplay?
No, GTA Online does not support crossplay functionality. After more than a decade of the game's release, you'd expect that Rockstar Games would have rolled out support for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC gamers to play together. But alas, that is not the case.
In short, PC players can only play with other PC players, while console (i.e., Xbox and PlayStation) players can only play with other players on the same platforms. There are a few exceptions for console gamers, which we've outlined in the sections below.
Can I Play GTA Online On PS5 With PS4 Players?
Yes and no. The answer depends on which version of GTA Online the PlayStation 5 players are rocking. PS5 owners can play both the PS5 and the PS4 versions of the game. So, if a PS5 owner wants to play with someone with a PS4, they need to play the PS4 version of the game.
However, if the PS5 owners only have the next-gen PS5 version of GTA Online, then they are restricted to only playing with other PS5 owners with the same title, in which case they cannot play with PS4 players.
