With scheduled Spotlight Hours for Pokémon GO confirmed to be taking place this month, Niantic unveiled the next rotation of Pokémon to be featured this month. Pokémon GO Spotlight Hours For August 2023 – Start Dates & Times
The next series of Spotlight Hours for the Season of Hidden Gems will occur every Tuesday for a limited time throughout July. Trainers can expect to participate in this in-game event with the announced Pokémon "spotlighted" for each Spotlight Hour on the following dates: the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th August 2023.
The Spotlight Hour will go live in-game for one hour, which sees each Pokémon spawning frequently in wild encounters with a possibility of Shiny forms to spot. This event, as such, will occur between 6 pm and 7 pm local time for Pokémon GO.
Pokémon GO Spotlight Hours For August 2023
According to information provided in the August 2023 Content Update, five Pokémon are to be featured in upcoming Spotlight Hour events. Likewise, the featured Pokémon will come with an increased spawn rate in the wild, and there's a chance they may appear in their Shiny forms (*).
Additionally, we know each event's bonus, which will be activated for all events for the month. Below, we've outlined all dates and times, the featured Pokémon and event bonuses for August 2023's Spotlight Hours in Pokémon GO:
- Vulpix: 1st August 2023 between 6 pm and 7 pm local time
- Event Bonus: Double XP when evolving Pokémon
- Paras: 8th August 2023 between 6 pm and 7 pm local time
- Event Bonus: Double Stardust when catching Pokémon
- Stufful: 15th August 2023 between 6 pm and 7 pm local time
- Event Bonus: Double XP when catching Pokémon
- Venonat: 22nd August 2023 between 6 pm and 7 pm local time
- Event Bonus: Double Candy when catching Pokémon
- Tentacool: 29th August 2023 between 6 pm and 7 pm local time
- Event Bonus: Double Candy after transferring Pokémon
