How to Complete Gunsmith Part 1
As soon as you reach Level 2 in Escape From Tarkov, the Gunsmith Part 1 quest becomes available. This is the only part of the Gunsmith quest that can be completed without the use of the flea market or LL2 traders, too.
The Gunsmith Part 1 quest will be given to you by the mechanic and requires you to modify an MP-133 pump action shotgun to a certain specification.
How to Build MP-133 for Mechanic
As you already know players need to build a custom MP-133 for Mechanic following these specifications:
- 60 Durability
- 47 or greater ergonomics
- 850 or less recoil
- 4 or fewer cells of space
- An extended magazine (a magazine capacity of 5 or greater)
- Any tactical device
To obtain the MP-133, purchase it off the flea market or Jarger level one, if you're unable to use these two methods enter a Factory or Customs run, the MP-133 is a regularly used scav weapon.
Please keep in mind, all gunsmith weapon hand-ins must have at least 60 Durability.
Here are the following attachments you'll need to complete the task:
Attachment | Sold By | Loyalty Level |
MP-133 custom plastic forestock with rails | Mechanic | Jaeger | LL1 (Barter) | LL2 |
MP-133/153 plastic pistol grip | Jaeger | LL1 |
NcSTAR tactical blue laser LAM-Module | Skier | LL1 |
GK-02 12ga muzzle break | Jaeger | LL2 |
ME Cylinder 12ga muzzle adapter | Jaeger | LL1 |
Zenit RK-6 tactical foregrip | Skier | LL1 |
If you're unable to obtain these attachments, they are common spawns in weapon crates and boxes located in Customs Fortress and general weapon crates.
Following your completion of the task, the weapon should look like the above image. To complete the task, simply head over to the Mechanic tasks page and select "Handover" and give the mechanic the shotgun. You'll be rewarded and allowed to complete the next step in the quest.
As noticed, it's vital to level up your merchants as quickly as possible to secure the chances of completing Gunsmith tasks smoothly. Not all items are sold on the flea market and therefore it might cause you some fuss obtaining the attachments for later Gunsmith tasks.
