Fontaine is the newest region coming to Genshin Impact in the 4.0 update and is the most awaited area in the game. It is also known as the Nation of Justice and is the home to Hydro Archon, where Traveler and Paimon will meet on their journey to find the whereabouts of the twin.
The next Archon quest will take place on Fontaine, and you will also meet new characters, go against new enemies, complete new quests, and much more. It will also feature an underwater world, and Travelers will be able to explore that as well. How To Unlock Fontaine In Genshin Impact 4.0 Update
Since Genshin Impact 4.0 update hasn't been released yet, we don't know how exactly you will be able to reach Fontaine; however, based on the previous regions released, we can expect that you will have to complete the prerequisite quest for Genshin Impact 4.0 version Archon Quest in order to unlock Fontaine.
However, keep in mind that this is just speculation, and we will get the first official details from HoYoverse in Genshin Impact 4.0 special program livestream, but the complete information will be available on August 16 once the update is out.
