With Pokémon GO's Season of Rising Heroes concluded, Trainers have been anticipating what the future holds with the latest season, which started in June 2023. The Season of Hidden Gems promises plenty of fun under the bright summer sun as Trainers can look forward to new content and events set to occur in August  2023.

Developer Niantic has released the content update plan for the month, which includes new Raid encounters, Spotlight Hours, and other notable events. Pokémon GO Season Of Hidden Gems – Season Schedule

The new season of Pokémon GO, confirmed by developer Niantic, is titled Hidden Gems, which will start following the end of the Season of Rising Heroes update, which concluded on 1st June 2023. The developer shared the season's content plan, which the current season runs from 1st June 2023 until 1st September 2023.

Additionally, the developer will host an in-game celebration in honor of the game's seventh birthday. During this event, Trainers can expect plenty of Raid encounters, more Pokémon debuts, event bonuses, and Research tasks to complete.

Pokémon GO Season Of Hidden Gems – Legendary & Mega Raids

Season of Hidden Gems will feature several notable Legendary and Mega Raids for Trainers to test their might throughout August 2023, with the possibility of encountering their Shiny forms. Trainers are to ensure they have a couple of Poké Balls or the recently released Master Ball on hand and a couple of throws to use to catch them following the Raid Battle successfully.

Speaking of Raids, new Raid Hours are arriving this August, which feature the Pokémon appearing in the month's 5-star Raids and the chance to encounter their Shiny forms. These hour-long encounters will see specific Pokémon appearing in Raids more frequently and may include an exclusive Charged Move or Fast Attack for each pocket monster featured.

Pokémon GO Season Of Hidden Gems – Spotlight Hours

Niantic is hosting a new batch of Spotlight Hour events to kick-start the new month, featuring a unique Pokémon every Tuesday in-game. These Pokémon will come with an increased spawning rate in wild encounters, with a chance they may be a Shiny, and there are plenty of event bonuses to take advantage of.

Pokémon GO Season Of Hidden Gems – Community Day & Community Day Classic

This month also sees yet another Community Day event scheduled for the month, with the Community Day event slated for 13th August 2023, with the Bubble Frog, Froakie, announced as the featured Pokémon. Like with previous Community Day events, it will feature several in-game activities, such as Wild Encounters and the Field Research tasks.

Additionally, Trainers will encounter the Shiny form of the unannounced Pokémon either through Wild Encounters, completing Research tasks, or hatched from Eggs. Lastly, a paid Special Research story may be available for this event, with tickets to be purchased from the in-game Shop.
