With Diablo 4 released, many players are excited to jump into the new world that Blizzard has created and take on new challenges in this darker, more gruesome iteration of Diablo. While there is tons of excitement for its release, many are looking even further forward and want to know when the first season will kick off.
If you're asking yourself the same question and are keen to know when the seasonal content and events will be starting, then this guide is for you. Below we'll take a look at when Diablo 4 Season 1 will be starting, as well as what we can expect once it drops.

Diablo 4 - When Does Season 1 Start?
Season 1 of Diablo 4 will begin on 20 July 2023, according to the developers at Blizzard. The reason for this is to give players enough time to complete the main campaign (which is a requirement to access the seasonal content) as well as to likely polish and fix any issues the game may have at launch without the season being affected.
Unfortunately, there isn't a fixed date that's been released to the public just yet, but we're sure the season will commence between the 18th and the 30th of July (roughly a month and a half after the game's scheduled release). While this may seem like a bit of a wait, it's well worth it, as the release of Season 1 is set to bring tons of new content to enjoy.
Each Season will likely last around three months, released quarterly according to the developer's high-level overview of the Diablo 4 roadmap. And during this time we'll be seeing some awesome and exciting content to enjoy.
Season 1 will introduce a new Season Journey, which offers players tons of new quests, monsters to slay, and loot to collect, as well as a new mechanic called Season Blessings, which are part of the new battle pass system and grant players tons of extra buffs and farming advantages.
So, all in all, the wait for Season 1's release in mid to late July will be well worth it, and the developers have seen to that. But be sure that we'll update this listing accordingly once an official release date for Season 1 is announced, as we are sure it's likely to in the next few weeks.
