Can You Play Diablo 4 On Steam Deck?

Here, we will tell you if you can play Diablo 4 on Steam Deck.

Diablo 3 first launched nearly 11 years ago, and since then, players all over the world have been waiting for the next Diablo game. But since that initial launch 11 years ago, Diablo 4 made the jump and is now available for console players.

Thanks to that, Diablo 4 will also be available on consoles during both the beta weekends and when the game fully launches. It is a very rewarding time to be a Diablo fan right now. With that being said, though, will Diablo 4 be available for those who own a Steam Deck? Here, we will go over that answer for you.

Is Diablo 4 Coming To Steam Deck?

Thanks to Diablo 3 testing the waters, Diablo 4 was developed with console players in mind. Those who own an Xbox console or a PlayStation console will be able to play Diablo 4 on the platform of their choice. This is exciting because console players used not able to play Diablo games in the past.

But what about Steam Deck owners? Steam Deck has been making strides and has been increasing in popularity over the years. PC players have been enjoying playing PC games on a console rather than on their normal PC setup. But unfortunately, Steam Deck owners might be waiting a while for a Diablo 4 release. At the time of this writing, Steam Deck owners will not be able to play Diablo 4.

Will Diablo 4 Ever Come Out For The Steam Deck?

Although anything is possible, it is highly unlikely that Diablo 4 will ever come out for Steam Deck. There are a couple of reasons for this assumption. Steam Deck is mostly used to play games that are available on Steam. Games on Steam do not even have to be programmed for Steam Deck. But as we have said, this goes for games on Steam.

Diablo 4 is developed by Blizzard. Blizzard has its own launcher for the games they have developed over the years. Games like World of Warcraft are still not available for Steam Deck unless you use some sort of unofficial program to force the game to work on it. Due to that reasoning, Steam Deck owners should not hold their breath for a Steam Deck launch of Diablo 4.
