Remnant 2 Best Weapons, Ranked
Gunfire Games

Remnant 2 features a plethora of unique and powerful weapons that favor different archetypes and playstyles. These include hard-hitting long guns, crossbows, swords, staff, and more.

Fortunately, these weapons also look incredible, so you don't have to sacrifice your fashion game for some unadulterated power. Whichever realm you explore, you will come across some unique weapons to complement your character's appearance and build. And with that said, here is our list of best weapons in Remnant 2.

Best weapons in Remnant 2

We have divided our list of best weapons in Remnant 2 into two categories. These include the best-range weapons and best melee weapons.

Best ranged weapons in Remnant 2

Below are the best-ranged weapons we have found so far in Remnant 2.

Sorrow Handgun

ssorrowhandgun1.png

Weapon Mod Description: "Recalls bolts which deal 32.1 damage when pulled from a target and when striking targets on their return. Recalled bolts grant 2% of Max Heath."

If you prefer a more methodical and precision-based gameplay experience, then Sorrow Handgun is a good early-game weapon. It deals an insane amount of bonus weak spot damage. Additionally, the Eulogy mod can recall bolts, so you don't have to constantly worry about reloading the weapon during a chaotic boss encounter.

Cube Rifle

Weapon Mod Description: "Generates a Cube Shield which absorbs up to 800 damage from incoming enemy projectiles. Lasts 15 seconds. Reactivating fires the Cube Shield which damages enemies as it travels. Damage is increased if the Cube Shield has absorbed enemy projectile damage before firing."

If you instead prefer the gun-blazing experience, the Cube Rifle is a must-have weapon with its high fire rate and unique purple cube-like bullets. Its mod, Cube Shield, can literally cover you in a cube shield for 15 seconds and absorb up to 800 damage.

Engima

Weapon Mod Description: "Drives electrified rods which tether to other rods within 10.5m. Tethers last 10s and deal 30.6 SHOCK damage per second. Targets take 76.4 SHOCK damage per second, and 25% damage per extra rod. Increases 1.5x if linked to another rod. Rods in the same target will not link."
Engima is easily the best handgun in Remnant 2, thanks to its high fire rate and ability to deal AOE shock damage. The Chaos Driver is an exceptionally powerful mod with a surprisingly low mod power requirement. It's our number one pick-up for ad clearing in any encounter.

Nightfall

Weapon Mod Description: "Enter the Nightmare Realm. Nightfall gains infinite ammo, a 35% Fire Rate increase, 10% Lifesteal, and becomes fully automatic. The wielder becomes significantly harder to hit while moving. Disables other weapons and skills for the duration, or until Dreadwalker is deactivated. Lasts 10 seconds."

Nightfall is the best Long Gun weapon we have come across so far in Remnant 2. The Dreadwalker is a trifecta mod that allows the weapon to become fully automatic, have a 35% increased fire rate, and gain a 10% lifesteal. Plus, it's really satisfying to use.

Alpha / Omega

Weapon Mod Description: Brands a target for 30s. Branded enemies that die leave a Brand at their location. Reloading or Swapping detonates Brands dealing 225 damage. Additional Brands (3 Max) on the same target deal 50% damage. Slain enemies return 5-15% of Ammo and Mod Power to the weapon.

You can get the Alpha/Omega long gun by slaying the final boss in Remnant 2, so it goes without saying that it's an important weapon. This gun can fire energy bolts which get more lethal with each bolt shot. It also comes with a devastating weapon mod called Beta Ray that deals massive damage as well as returns ammo and mod power to the weapon.  And the best part? It has a shockingly low mod power requirement, which means you can consistently use this skill on the battlefield.

Best melee weapons in Remnant 2

Below are the best melee weapons we have come across so far in Remnant 2.

Spectral Blade

Weapon Mod Description: "Performing a Charge Melee Attack during a Neutral Backlash creates a Whirlwind of slashes which strike all enemies within 8 meters for 231.4 damage."

From a distance, it looks like a slimmer version of Bloodborne's Holy Moonlight Sword, and if that's not enough reason to use it, we don't know what is. In all fairness, Spectral Blade is indeed a great melee weapon, and while the Whirlwind charge attack may take a while to get going, it deals a ton of damage, not to mention it's really cool to look at.

Dream Catcher

Weapon Mod Description: "After dealing 300 damage, Charge Attack will release a Dreamweave, flowing outwards 20 meter and returning to caster. Dreamwave applies SLOW to all enemies for 10 seconds and grants a stack of REVERIE for each enemy affected. Each stack grants +2% to all damage and +2 Movement Speed, which lasts 15 seconds.

Dream Catcher is solid for dealing massive AOE damage. It's a great choice for clearing hordes of ads in dungeons, and even if you don't use melee weapons much, you may want to give this one a try.

These are some of the best weapons we have come across in Remnant 2 so far. We will continue to update this article as we progress further into the game and acquire more unique and powerful weapons.
