As the first venture since dropping the FIFA label from the iconic football series, EA Sports FC 24 is bringing the sports to consoles and PC in a brand new way. Developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania, EA Sports FC 24 is set to launch worldwide on September 29, 2023.
But before we reach the global launch, lucky players will have the chance to check out the game early as part of the closed beta, kicking off from today and running up until August 31. And while everyone is eager to get their hands on this latest installment, not everyone has secured themselves a code. The EA Sports FC 24 beta code distribution began on August 9, 2023 so, if you haven't received a code, you might be on the bench for this round.
That said, a community manager on the EA Sports FC forum did inform players to: “check your mail inbox connected to your EA Account, to see if you have been selected for the Beta. The distribution will be running for a while, so make sure to check your inbox regularly.”

According to @PlaystationSize, a Twitter account dedicated to revealing the download sizes for games across PlayStation consoles, the EA Sports FC 24 beta will have the following download sizes:
- PS4: 50.605 GB
- PS5: 58.191 GB
Unsurprisingly, PlayStation 5 players will need slightly more space to accommodate the beta download - just under 8GB more. How this will reflect on the size of the full game at launch remains to be seen, but players can likely expect the sizes to be roughly the same, if not more.

The EA Sports FC 24 Closed Beta begins from today, 10 August, starting 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST and runs until August 31.
