Each season of Apex Legends has the potential to enact a massive shake-up to the online Battle Royale. The easiest way to switch up the meta? Add in a new Legend. In Season 17, players saw new Legend Ballistic make his debut — a character who has a history with the world of Apex, having competed in the Thunderdome Games during his youth. Now Ballistic is back as an Assault Legend, quickly becoming a popular pick.
Respawn has traditionally added in a new Legend with every season of Apex Legends, except during Season 16. As a break from tradition, Respawn opted not to introduce a new Legend and instead focused on whole class system rework. The outcome was a success, and Season 16 saw Apex Legends hit its all-time player count peak.
Returning to form in Season 17 by adding in new Legend Ballistic, many players are now looking ahead to the upcoming Season 18, and whether or not a new Legend will be introduced once more.

Is A New Legends Coming To Apex Legends In Season 18?
On July 31, Respawn revealed a new cinematic: Kill Code Part 2, revealing just some of the lore behind the upcoming Season 18, titled Resurrection. In the trailer, Revenant is shown as going through some sinister changes. Over on the official website, Respawn confirmed that Revenant Reborn will be the key focus of Season 18.
Revenant will also be unlocked for all players for the whole season. Players will be able to complete quests before the season ends to unlock him permanently. In the past, Respawn developers have stated that they'd like to commit more energy into improving the existing Legend roster. Given Revenant's pretty weak pick rates in recent seasons, we'd say he's in high need of an overhaul.
Revenant Reborn appears to be a pure rework of the existing Legend, meaning that Apex Legends will not be getting a new Legend in Season 18. The new season is currently expected to kick off on August 8, 2023.
